Adding clusters
You can add your Kubernetes clusters by taking the following steps:
In the Protection page, open the Clusters tab.
Click Add New Cluster to open the Add cluster pane. Enter the following values:
- Name
Enter a name that helps you identify the Kubernetes cluster you are registering with CloudCasa.
- Description (optional)
Enter a comment for the Kubernetes cluster that you can see in the CloudCasa interface.
In addition, you can add Advanced options:
- Add tags (optional)
You can add multiple tags by pressing Enter, and you can delete added tags by clicking the × (delete) icon.
- Destination cloud
Select the storage to store your backup data in either Catalogic CloudCasa (default), AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
- Destination region
Use this option to specify the public cloud datacenter when you select AWS or Microsoft Azure for the destination cloud.
Click Register cluster to add the new cluster.
See the summary page and ensure that the cluster was registered.
Copy the
kubectl
command in the summary, and run the command on the shell of the Kubernetes node.
